This straightforward checklist details the essential steps for finalising your setup. Follow these items, and you’ll be on your way to seeing your true, blended profit picture in no time.
1. Essential Platform Access: Opening the Data Gates
ProfitPeak’s power lies in unifying your advertising and operational data. To do this securely and efficiently, we need administrator-level access to your primary acquisition platforms.
Please grant Admin-level access to the following:
Google Ads
Meta (Facebook & Instagram)
TikTok Ads Manager
Microsoft (Bing) Ads
Pinterest Ads (if applicable)
Klaviyo (or your main Email/EDM platform, if applicable)
2. Apply ProfitPeak UTMs: Tracking with Precision
Accurate campaign measurement is non-negotiable. To ensure every penny of ad spend is tracked back to its revenue, you must apply ProfitPeak’s unique UTM (Urchin Tracking Module) parameters across all active and future campaigns.
This needs to be done for:
Google
Meta
TikTok
Bing
Pinterest
Our support team will provide you with the exact parameters and guidance on how to implement them.
3. Prepare Your Operational Expenses (Ex-GST)
To truly talk about the real profit, it means accounting for all your fixed and variable costs. Please compile a comprehensive list of monthly expenses (excluding GST/VAT) to be loaded into the platform.
This list should include, but not be limited to:
Product Costs (COGS)
Shipping (average cost per order or a percentage)
Warehouse / Storage Costs
Utilities and Rent
Agency Fees (Marketing, Creative, etc.)
Plugin / App Subscriptions
Merchant Fees
Staff Costs (Operations, CS, etc.)
Packaging / Handling
EDM / Email Platform Costs
Any other recurring fixed or variable monthly overheads.
4. Add Your Team
Finally, invite any additional team members who need to see and use the ProfitPeak reporting, dashboards, and operational data. Ensure your key stakeholders in finance, marketing, and operations can access the insights they need to make data-driven decisions.
